科学家开发出百公里开放空气路径上的双光梳光谱技术

近日,中国科学技术大学的潘建伟&张强及其研究团队取得一项新进展。经过不懈努力,他们开发出百公里开放空气路径上的双光梳光谱技术。相关研究成果已于2024年9月12日在国际知名学术期刊《自然—光子学》上发表。

该研究团队通过开发使用时间-频率传播和高功率光学频率光梳的双基地设置,在113公里长的湍流水平开放空气路径上实现了双光梳光谱技术。

研究人员成功测量了具有7纳米光谱带宽和10千赫频率准确度的CO2和H2O的吸收光谱,并在5分钟内实现了对CO2小于2ppm、在36分钟内小于0.6ppm的传感精度。

研究人员预计该系统将立即应用于城市温室气体和气体污染物排放的监测。这项技术还可能扩展到基于卫星的双光梳光谱技术,用于温室气体监测和校准测量。

据悉,双光梳光谱技术(DCS)能够在短时间内提供宽带、高分辨率、高灵敏度的振幅和相位光谱,因此在大气光谱学领域具有广阔前景。然而,以往的研究仅限于测量大约20公里的开放空气路径。

Abstract: Dual-comb spectroscopy (DCS) provides broadband, high-resolution, high-sensitivity amplitude and phase spectra within a short measurement time, thus holding promises for atmospheric spectroscopy. However, previous research has been limited to measuring over open-air paths of about 20km. Here, by developing a bistatic set-up using time–frequency dissemination and high-power optical frequency combs, we implement DCS over a 113km turbulent horizontal open-air path. We successfully measure the absorbance spectra of CO2 and H2O with a 7nm spectral bandwidth and a 10kHz frequency accuracy, and achieve a sensing precision of <2ppm in 5min and <0.6ppm in 36min for CO2. We anticipate our system to find immediate applications in the monitoring of urban greenhouse gas and gaseous pollutants emission. Our technology may also be extended to satellite-based DCS for greenhouse gas monitoring and calibration measurements.
