环辛四烯嵌入的碳纳米环

浙江大学郭庆辉团队报道了环辛四烯嵌入的碳纳米环。相关研究成果于2024年3月29日发表于国际一流学术期刊《德国应用化学》。

随着碳纳米环的蓬勃发展,在过去的十年里,嵌入碳纳米环的某些拓扑或功能独特的单元如雨后春笋般出现。

该文中,研究人员报道了在一锅Yamamoto偶联中,简单有效地合成三个环辛四烯嵌入的碳纳米环(COTCNRs),其包含三个(COTCNR1和COTCNR2)和四个(COTCN R3)COT单元。这些纳米环具有陀螺(G-)、金刚石(D-)和原始(P-)型碳Schwarzite的环状片段。

三聚体纳米环COTCNR1和COTCNR2的构象是形状持久的,而四聚体COTCNR3具有柔性碳骨架,其在与富勒烯(C60和C70)形成主客体复合物时发生构象变化,富勒烯的共晶体可能作为富勒烯基半导体超分子线,在环境条件下电导率约为107S cm-1(对于C60COTCNR3)和108S cm-1

Title: Cyclooctatetraene-Embedded Carbon Nanorings

Abstract: With the prosperity of the development of carbon nanorings, certain topologically or functionally unique units-embedded carbon nanorings have sprung up in the past decade. Herein, we report the facile and efficient synthesis of three cyclooctatetraene-embedded carbon nanorings (COTCNRs) that contain three (COTCNR1 and COTCNR2) and four (COTCNR3) COT units in a one-pot Yamamoto coupling. These nano rings feature hoop-shaped segments of Gyroid (G-), Diamond (D-), and Primitive (P-) type carbon schwarzites. The conformations of the trimeric nano rings COTCNR1 and COTCNR2 are shape-persistent, whereas the tetrameric COTCNR3 possesses a flexible carbon skeleton which undergoes conformational changes upon forming host-guest complexes with fullerenes (C60 and C70), whose co-crystals may potentially serve as fullerene-based semiconducting supramolecular wires with the electrical conductivities on the order of 107 S cm1 (for C60COTCNR3) and 108 S cm1 (for C70COTCNR3) under ambient conditions. This research not only describes highly efficient one-step syntheses to three cyclooctatetraene-embedded carbon nanorings which feature hoop-shaped segments of distinctive topological carbon schwarzites, but also demonstrates the potential application of the one dimensional fullerenes array secured by COTCNR3 in electronics.
