近日,福建师范大学的廖任远及其研究团队取得一项新进展。经过不懈努力,他们揭示具有费什巴赫耦合的玻色子原子-分子混合物的量子三临界性。相关研究成果已于2024年10月28日在国际知名学术期刊《物理评论A》上发表。
该研究团队通过构建全面且解析的相图发现,相干相互转化能够通过设置多达两个三临界点(其中一个为固有,另一个为条件性)来稳定玻色子原子-分子混合物。通过调整相互作用参数,相图的拓扑结构会随之改变,同时三临界点的数量也会发生变化。
研究人员掌握了该系统中的量子三临界性以及相变的具体信号。值得注意的是,当原子-分子超流相接触相分离线的边界时,声速会消失。当系统经历相变时,配对振幅和密度(自旋密度)结构因子等相关函数会表现出特征性行为。这项研究工作为未来深入理解原子-分子混合物的显著物理特性奠定了基础。

Title: Quantum tricriticality of bosonic atomic-molecular mixtures with Feshbach coupling

Abstract: We identify that coherent interconversion can stabilize bosonic atomic-molecular mixtures by establishing a comprehensive and analytical phase diagram, which can accommodate up to two tricritical points (TPs) with one being intrinsic and the other being conditional. By varying the interaction parameters, the topology of the phase diagram gets modified while changing the number of TPs. We master the quantum tricriticality and concrete signals of the phase transition for this system. Notably, we show that the sound velocity vanishes as the atomic-molecular superfluid phase touches on the border of the phase separation lines.. Correlation functions such as pairing amplitudes and density (spin density) structure factors exhibit characteristic behaviors when the system crosses the phase transitions. Our work paves the way for future advancement toward understanding the salient physics of atom-molecular mixtures.
