Perovskite Nanostructures for Efficient Red, Green, Blue and Infrared Light-Emitting Devices
【Abstract】
Chemically synthesized metal halide perovskite nanocrystals have emerged as a new class of efficient light emitting materials which are particularly interesting for development of perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs). While high external quantum yields have been already demonstrated for green and red emitting perovskite LEDs, stability of those devices is still an issue, which can be mitigated on both material’s and device’s side. This talk will provide recent examples of efficient red, green, and blue LEDs with saturated RGB colours, based on quantum confined CsPbI3 dots, P3HT-perovskite donors-acceptor structures, Cd2+-doped FAPbBr3 nanocrystals, FAPbBr3/Znx(Amide)yBrz composite films, and amine-free CsPbBr3 perovskite nanoplatelets. More recently, we demonstrated the strategy allowing us to regulate crystallization and suppress oxidization of lead-free CsSnI3 perovskite films for rather efficient and stable near-infrared LEDs.

【BIOGRAPHY】
Andrey Rogach is a Yeung Kin Man Chair Professor in Photonics Materials at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Founding Director of the Centre for Functional Photonics (CFP) at City University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (1995) from the Belarusian State University in Minsk, and worked as a postdoc (with Horst Weller) and then as a staff scientist at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the University of Hamburg, Germany from 1995 to 2002. From 2002–2009 he held a tenured position of a lead staff scientist at the Department of Physics of the University of Munich, Germany, where he completed his habilitation in Experimental Physics on light emission and harvesting with semiconductor nanocrystals. He joined City University of Hong Kong as a Full Professor in 2009 and has been advanced to Chair Professor in 2012. His research focuses on synthesis, assembly and optical spectroscopy of colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals and their hybrid structures, and their use for energy-related and optoelectronic applications. He authored over 550 scientific publications with an h-index of 152 {Google Scholar} in these fields that have been extensively (over 80,000) cited, which continuously ranked him as Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics) since 2018. His distinctions include the RGC Senior Research Fellowship (Hong Kong, 2023), the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship (Hong Kong, 2019), the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Research Award of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation (Germany, 2018), the CityU President’s Award (2017), the Grand Research Excellence Award from City University of Hong Kong (2011), and the Walton Award from the Science Foundation Ireland (2005). He holds honourable appointments at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and Soochow University (China). Andrey Rogach is a Foreign Member of the Academia Europaea, and a Fellow of the Electromagnetic Academy, USA. He served as an Associate Editor of ACS Nano in 2011-2023.
Andrey Rogach是香港城市大学材料科学与工程学系光子材料讲座教授,也是香港城市大学功能光子学中心(CFP)的创始主任。他于1995年在明斯克白俄罗斯国立大学获得物理化学博士学位,1995年至2002年在德国汉堡大学物理化学研究所担任博士后研究员(师从Horst Weller)及后来的科研人员。2002年至2009年,他在德国慕尼黑大学物理系担任终身制首席科研人员,并完成了关于半导体纳米晶体光发射与光捕获的实验物理学教授资格论文。他于2009年加入香港城市大学担任正教授,并于2012年晋升为讲座教授。他的研究重点是胶体半导体纳米晶体及其杂化结构的合成、组装和光学光谱,以及它们在能源相关和光电应用中的使用。他在这些领域发表了550多篇科学论文,h指数为152(谷歌学术),被引用超过80,000次,自2018年以来持续被评为高被引研究者(科睿唯安)。他获得的荣誉包括:香港研究资助局高级研究学者奖(2023)、香港裘槎基金会高级研究学者奖(2019)、德国亚历山大·冯·洪堡基金会卡尔·弗里德里希·冯·西门子研究奖(2018)、香港城市大学校长奖(2017)、香港城市大学卓越研究大奖(2011)以及爱尔兰科学基金会沃尔顿奖(2005)。他还担任爱尔兰都柏林三一学院和中国苏州大学的荣誉职务。Andrey Rogach是欧洲科学院外籍院士和美国电磁学院院士。他曾在2011-2023年间担任《ACS Nano》副主编。
